About the sale

 

Thanks to the amazing generosity of our donors, we are able to offer a huge array of fabulous books for every age and taste. And because the books and labor are donated, we can keep our prices so low that you can bring them home by the boxful! Our incredible volunteers organize thousands of titles into 39 categories for easy browsing.

 

Last year, we raised more than $6000 to give scholarships to local students!

The Annual Portsmouth Book Sale is sponsored by the Portsmouth Women's City Club, a 501(c)(3) organization founded more than 100 years ago. Our members volunteer their time and money to support this and many other community initiatives.
